Rolleiflex 2.8F samples

These are shots taken with a Rolleiflex 2.8F. I am not sure what happened to this film, but it has a strange grainy noise pattern all over. Light coming through the backing paper perhaps? But I am not sure how this can affect the whole film so consistenly and evenly. Oh well, will need to run another role through the 2.8F, can't really complain about that!
The film was a Rolleiflex RPX 25, so a rather slow film, but I like to try out cameras using film speeds that were common at the time they were made. It turned out a good choice as the weather was very bright most of the time. The film was plenty sharp, and I probably can't blame it for the strange noise mentioned above. The first and last photos were taken with fully open aperture to show off the cameras bokeh credentials, and it didn't disappoint.
Most of these photos were taken on a trip to the Great Wall of China. Special thanks to our local host Lucy, who organised a fantastic trip!
